Seniority Announcement: April 2022
Seniority has been a cornerstone of DeviantArt since its early years, and is an award given to those who have made their mark on the community. These outstanding deviants have been recognized for their level of interaction, helpfulness with others, kindness, sincerity, and many other traits. These deviants can be recognized by the medal icon that appears next to their username, and in almost 22 years, less than 2,000 deviants have received Seniority. The following five deviants, having shown a kindred spirit that has led to continued positive community interaction and involvement, are the most recent recipients of Seniority. Please join us in congratulating them! @Pajunen A long-time deviant, @Pajunen has been a constant presence among the photography community on DeviantArt for many years. On top of consistently posting quality art, he always brings positivity and sincere enthusiasm when interacting with others. @saartha On top of being a skilled poet, @saartha has quietly and

The future is now. DeviantArt is proud to announce Art Fortunes, a new feature that uses groundbreaking new artificial intelligence to predict your future by analyzing your art! At DeviantArt, we work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and current trends in the art world. It's an important part of creating new products and site features that help deviants of all skill levels grow as artists and form connections with their peers. What We're Working On at DeviantArt by team, journal
What We're Working On at DeviantArt
DeviantArt, like any major website, is a perpetual work-in-progress—there will always be things to improve and innovate. Every day, we get tons of great feedback from the community, including a lot of ideas we want to see implemented too. In an ideal world, new products and features could be done all at once, but the resources needed to make those updates happen are finite. Because of that, we prioritize what to work on and in what order, so that various teams can align on what is being done and how, resulting in products and features being built and released effectively. Many factors determine how things get prioritized, including our vision for the site’s future, technical needs and resources, community requests, impact a product or feature will have on the overall health of the community, and of course, data. The impact is especially important because of the vastness of the community—we have to make sure functional needs are met for professionals and hobbyists, sellers and buyers
